ABOUT ME
Well thought out architecture impacts people of
all levels of society because it is able to enhance
our well-being, dignity, comfort, emotion and
spirituality. It can also build identity both individual
and collective. Society must be judged by the way
it treats its most defenseless citizen and if we are
doing a bad job at that, we have no hope of improving
other parts of society. Therefore Architecture has an
ethical duty to society and this is why connection
and belonging are so important and powerful since
they make us care about the other. I see architecture
as the means to connect people and give them a
sense of belonging.
My goal is to create meaningful architecture that
makes people feel belonging and improves their wellbeing by creating spaces that are transformative,
attractive, dynamic, inclusive, enjoyable and above
all dignifying. The work gathered here shows a
reflection on the different levels on engagement
with community, the environment, and the other.
Establishing a gradation of intimacy, a landmark,
active participation with the past or its surroundings.
I believe in using design as a driving force in the
service of the people that need it most and that
research and community are integral parts of design.
